What new gutters cost per metre

Gutter prices look wildly inconsistent until you check what each one includes. Line them up that way and they make sense.

Quad Colorbond gutter runs $35 to $55 per metre installed in Victoria, on The Quote Yard's 2026 figures. An Adelaide installer quotes $75 to $105 per metre all-in, which covers downpipes, removal of the old gutters and fascia work. Whole homes land at $1,500 to $4,000 in Victoria and $3,000 to $4,500 for a single-storey Adelaide house.

A gutter quote can cover any of these parts. When one price looks far lower than another, it is usually because the downpipes, the fascia work or removal of the old gutters sit outside it.

Why do per-metre gutter prices vary so much?

Because "per metre" is measuring different work each time. The Adelaide all-in rate carries four jobs; the Victorian rate is the gutter itself. Neither is wrong, and neither is comparable until you split them.

How are downpipes priced?

Two ways, and the difference bites. Pro Roof and Gutter charges Adelaide downpipes by length at $30 to $50 per metre. The Quote Yard prices Victorian downpipes at $80 to $150 each, each, covering supply, the new pipe and brackets, and the connection at ground level. Before you compare, count the downpipes on the house and note how far each one drops.

Height is the next multiplier. The same Adelaide guide puts a two-storey home at $5,000 to $6,000+, an open-ended figure we have left off the chart because it has no published top. If your house is two storeys, expect access and safety gear to be part of the conversation.

What does gutter guard add?

Should gutters be done at the same time as the roof?
